Matthias Anton
Matthias Anton was born on the 27th of May, 1979 in Filderstadt, Germany. His passion for the saxophone was discovered at the age of 12 by his father and grandfather, who were both saxophone players. Soon his talent was discovered and encouraged. He started his education with Elmar Schäfer (1991-1996) and Tom Timmler (1996-1998).
From 1998-2002 he studied with prof. Jürgen Seefelder at the conservatory of Mannheim. From 2002-2005 he studied with prof. Bernd Konrad at the conservatory of Stuttgart. As from autumn 2005 he is teaching saxophone at the state music conservatory in Trossingen, Germany.
